History Of Auburn
Auburn, Kentucky. “Small enough to know you-large enough to serve you.” This has been Auburn’s motto for many years! Auburn is located in east Logan County and was established around 1860. In 1813, the Shakers purchased 1.140 acres on the Black Lick Creek at Auburn and established a separate settlement called Waterwheit, where they formed and had a sugar camp.
